An excellent beginning to explore the world of knowledge!
The first days of September are marked by a festive spirit nationwide. Seeing young first-graders, flowers in hand, eagerly step into school for the first time in the early morning brings feelings of joy, pride, and hope.
This year, Knowledge Day, coinciding with Independence Day, again highlights the importance of the ongoing strategic reforms in New Uzbekistan’s education sector. It’s more than just a notable date. It’s a key historical milestone that offers a chance to reflect on the past and aim for ambitious future goals.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s heartfelt congratulations on Knowledge Day to the people of Uzbekistan, educators, and youth were more than a festive message. It vividly reflected major structural changes in the national education system and ambitious goals for the future.
800,000 first-graders: a new generation full of hope
As the Head of State highlighted, nearly 800,000 boys and girls enter school for the first time with curiosity, excitement, big dreams, and hope, symbolizing the country’s bright future. This number is more than just a statistic. It represents a powerful force of intellectual capacity and fresh energy that continually enriches society each year.

Seeing the genuine, heartfelt aspirations of boys and girls heading to school with big dreams and enthusiasm, I sincerely wish them success.
May each step you take toward the future be blessed. Drawing from an endless well of knowledge, may you become educated and honorable individuals who can serve your people and country.
Indeed, these young hearts are an invaluable treasure of the nation and a solid foundation for an independent Uzbekistan. Each confident stride they make toward school reflects the people’s hopes for a bright future.
A pivotal moment in education
Thanks to recent large-scale reforms, the schools in New Uzbekistan are evolving significantly. The focus on modern IT and digital skills, early recognition of professional and creative talents, and comprehensive foreign language study are improving young people’s global competitiveness.
The President of Uzbekistan describes children developing in this environment as the country’s “golden fund”, celebrating their early success in education, vocational training, IT, creativity, sports, and community involvement.
A focus on education provides a solid foundation for society’s long-term, sustainable growth. Among educated, diligent, and goal-oriented youth, the seeds of the Third Renaissance are beginning to grow. Recognizing the importance of nurturing these seeds into strong, reliable pillars for the country’s future, the Head of State highlighted that continued efforts will be made to develop education and upbringing. Every child reaching adulthood after school will have access to the necessary conditions to gain not only in-depth, solid knowledge but also at least one modern profession.

To achieve this, “Profession Towns” will be established in various regions, bringing together modern experts and top specialists. These towns will help students gain in-demand skills and professions while still in school and promote close collaboration between education and the labor market.
Knowledge is essential for achieving success
In his congratulatory message, the President emphasized an essential life truth: the only key to a happy, prosperous life, to finding answers to tough questions, and to facing life’s trials with dignity is knowledge, and nothing else.

In today’s fast-paced world, young people should cherish every moment of their youth, actively pursue new knowledge, innovations, professions, and skills, and thoroughly study their native language, rich history and culture, as well as world history and foreign languages.
Our love for this sacred land, passed down from ancestors, along with devotion to the Motherland and respect for wise mentors and parents as trusted friends and guides, all serve as a solid foundation for a bright future.
The beginning of a new academic year marks another important step in building the country’s future. This year will bring new achievements in our nation’s growth, reinforce the foundations of the Third Renaissance, and ensure a bright future for our children.
May peace and prosperity forever reign in our nation, and may our skies stay clear! Wishing success to all children beginning their journey of knowledge!
