As previously reported, at the invitation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan on January 26-27.
In this regard, an UzA correspondent interviewed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Zheenbek Kulubaev, who arrived in Tashkent to attend the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
– I believe that the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan will be meaningful, – Mr. Kulubaev said. – The preparations started a long time ago. The main purpose of the visit is to strengthen economic, political, cultural and humanitarian ties.
During the conversation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan emphasized that Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are countries whose peoples are linked by centuries-old friendship, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan people have strong brotherly bonds. Dwelling on the issue of the upcoming talks in Bishkek, he expressed hope that following their results, bilateral relations between the two countries will rise to a completely new level, including in trade, investment, tourism and cultural areas.
