The Astana International Forum – AIF 2025 is taking place in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
AIF 2025 is one of the most significant events in the region, bringing together nearly 600 foreign guests, including leading politicians, representatives of international organizations, corporations, investors, and the academic community.
At AIF 2025, global issues such as foreign policy and international security, energy and climate change, and the economy and finance are central to discussions.
As part of the event, an UzA correspondent spoke with Zhaslan Madiyev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
– We primarily expect new ideas from the forum for developing our economy. Through these ideas, we aim to advance our economic growth. Most importantly, this will allow us to contribute to the global economy.
Today, thanks to the reforms we have implemented – economic, political, and technological – we want to showcase our achievements in the digital industry to the world.
– How is your cooperation with Uzbekistan developing?
– Our cooperation with Uzbekistan is developing very well. We have joint IT parks in Silicon Valley, and we recently announced the establishment of a joint IT park in Dubai. We are participating in various international forums and exhibitions, jointly showcasing our startups and technological companies.
As a result of our continuous exchange of experience, we are establishing venture funds and jointly investing in economies.
Recently, I visited Uzbekistan, where together with our colleagues we discussed further improving cross-border telecommunications services, bringing the services of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan IT companies to the global market, increasing service exports, and expanding practical cooperation between the technoparks of our two countries. We reached essential agreements on these matters.
