A meeting was held at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis with students from several foreign and state higher education institutions of Tashkent and representatives of the World Association of Youth of Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, the youth became acquainted with the activities of the Senate and the Youth Parliament, as well as with the legislative process.
Senator Malika Kadirkhanova spoke in detail about the parliamentary reforms underway in the country, the efforts to expand youth participation in the legislative process, and the importance of open dialogue with young people.
Chairperson of the Youth Parliament Laylo Aslonova presented information on the initiatives put forward at the recent meeting of the President with youth, as well as on the priority directions of state youth policy.

A meeting was held dedicated to cooperation between the Youth Parliament under the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the World Association of Youth of Uzbekistan.
During the dialogue, issues related to developing a mechanism for introducing the proposals and initiatives of Uzbek youth working and studying abroad into the legislative system, establishing a permanent dialogue with young people, and implementing social projects were discussed.

To involve young professionals and scholars from abroad in the discussion of draft laws and the exchange of experience, a permanent platform titled “Youth abroad – dialogue with parliament” will be established.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed.
