Young judokas from more than 20 countries to compete for the Asian championship title in Tashkent
Today, May 28, the Asian Cup for juniors and cadets, dedicated to the memory of Uchqun Murodov, will begin at the Olympic City sports complex in Tashkent.
According to the Asian Cup program, cadet competitions will be held on May 28-29, while the strongest junior athletes will be determined on May 30-31.
In addition to judokas from Uzbekistan, nearly 1,200 young athletes from more than 20 countries, including Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Mongolia, the UAE, Kazakhstan, Chinese Taipei, India, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Saudi Arabia, will compete in the tournament.
Yesterday, ahead of this prestigious competition, a draw ceremony was held, along with seminar sessions for the referees who will officiate the contests.
The draw ceremony was attended by Akinobu Osako, Head Referee Director of the Judo Union of Asia, Abdulo Murodov, a leading expert at the International Judo Federation, and Aziz Sobirov, Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Judo Federation.
