The official closing ceremony of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan took place at Uzbekistan International Forums Palace.

Within the framework of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, events were held in tourism, cultural, humanitarian and economic fields. Mutual visits were organized by artists of the two countries.

Each of the projects and events held within the framework of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan played an important role in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov and Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aktoty Raimkulova addressed the closing ceremony.

Aziz Abdukhakimov noted that various events are being held in order to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries. Important steps have been taken towards strengthening the legal foundations of cooperation in trade, economic, social and humanitarian spheres.

“We have a common culture. Uzbekistan people are our brothers and friends. Holding the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan has brought our cultural, social and humanitarian cooperation to a new level. Various cultural events and tours of theater groups were organized. Bilateral cooperation has been strengthened”, says Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aktoty Raimkulova.

The event followed by a large concert program.
