An awards ceremony was held at the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan to honor the winners and medalists of the World Weightlifting Championships held in Norway.

Representatives of the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee, and the Weightlifting Federation of Uzbekistan attended the event.

Akbar Jurayev, who won three gold medals at the World Championships and became the absolute champion in the weight category up to 110 kg, was awarded a presidential gift – a BYD car and a one-time cash prize. Ruslan Nuruddinov, who won two bronze medals in the same competition, and the athletes’ coaches were presented with cash awards.
