“Women in the justice system: dialogue, development and justice”
Dushanbe hosted the international conference titled “Women in the justice system: dialogue, development and justice”.
It was attended by representatives of the judicial authorities of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, as well as by a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan Malika Kalandarova and representatives of international organizations.

Issues related to developing a gender-based justice system, digitalizing justice, strengthening the capacity of women judges, and increasing confidence in justice in cases related to discrimination were widely discussed during the sessions held within the framework of the conference.
The participants focused on the role of associations of women judges in enhancing the attractiveness of the judicial system, attracting women to the judiciary, and providing legal and institutional support. They exchanged views on other agenda items and stressed the importance of expanding and strengthening cooperation among the courts.
