Winners of the international Olympiads determined in Bukhara

International subject Olympiads – Bukhara International Mathematics Olympiad (BIMO 2026) and Bukhara International Chemistry Olympiad (BICHO 2026) – have concluded in Bukhara. Students from domestic and foreign universities tested their knowledge and skills at these prestigious competitions.

Forty-one teams took part in the International Chemistry Olympiad BICHO 2026. The winning teams represented the Andijan State Technical Institute, the Bukhara State University, the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, and the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. During the Olympiad, participants won 19 gold, 26 silver, and 40 bronze medals.

Fifty-four teams took part in the International Mathematics Olympiad BIMO 2026. The winning teams represented the International University for Humanities and Development (Turkmenistan), the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Andijan State University, Tashkent International University of Financial Management and Technologies, and Lomonosov Moscow State University. In total, participants won 29 gold, 46 silver, and 56 bronze medals.

Special mention should be made of the achievements of the host team of BIMO 2026 – students of Bukhara State University, who won 5 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medals. Team “BukhSU” won the Best Teamwork and Strategy Award, while team “Vertex” received the Outstanding Logical Reasoning Award. At BICHO 2026, the university’s students won 6 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal. They also received the Excellence in Chemical Data Interpretation nomination.
