From June 10 to 18, the State Academic Grand Theatre of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi will host Verdi Week, organized by the theatre’s creative team in cooperation with the Embassy of Italy in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The program will feature outstanding performances of such masterpieces as Un Ballo in Maschera, La Traviata, Il Trovatore, and Rigoletto.

According to art experts, the work of Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi stands among the most significant achievements in world opera and represents the pinnacle of 19th-century Italian opera. Verdi composed 26 operas, a requiem, a string quartet, and several sacred pieces.
