The tragic events that befell the people of Karakalpakstan excited the whole of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the provocative actions of individuals, the peace of the whole country, of the whole people was disturbed, peaceful life got out of the rut. The events that took place in Nukus call each of us to vigilance and caution, once again showing us all how priceless wealth peace and tranquility are.

Uzbeks and Karakalpaks are connected by common historical roots, they have always understood and supported each other, established family ties. We know many Karakalpaks who live in the city of Almalyk, Tashkent region, selflessly work at local manufacturing companies. In particular, 3 professors from Karakalpakstan work in our branch, 17 Karakalpak boys and girls study at our University.

In May this year, students of the Almalyk branch of the TSTU visited the Ushsay mahalla of Muynak district of Karakalpakstan to strengthen the ancient ties of friendship between the Uzbek and Karakalpak peoples. They met with youth and residents.

The meeting of youth, whose common goal is to preserve peace and harmony, was held in the spirit of mutual understanding and friendship. Uzbek students sang Karakalpak folk songs, and young people of Muynak, in turn, sang Uzbek songs from the heart.

The sincere and sympathetic people of Muynak, like the entire people of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, are at the center of the special attention of our state. This is confirmed by the modern schools built in distant Muynak, a modern youth center, cultural institutions, service points, wide and smooth roads.

I call on people who have gone astray, who have fallen under the influence of various conspiracies and provocative propaganda that appear in the information field, to see the light and come to their senses. Do not be destroyers of peaceful and tranquil life!

We believe that the Karakalpak people, with their characteristic strong spirit, courage and wisdom, will show steadfastness on the path of further development and glorification of our state – our common Homeland!
