The 5th International Best Sniper Team Competition was held in the Republic of Türkiye from May 5 to 16. Among more than 40 teams from 15 countries, the sniper team from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan delivered an outstanding performance.

The competition was held at the “Commando” Mountain Training Center in Isparta, Türkiye. Participating countries included Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Pakistan, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, and over ten other nations. Representatives from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom, and Kuwait attended as observers.

Participants were divided into groups and competed across approximately 15 challenging events. Military teams performed tasks including “High-Angle Shooting”, “Combat Shooting While Wearing Gas Masks”, “Firing from Difficult Positions at Unknown Distances”, “Shooting from Behind Various Obstacles”, “Shooting from a Helicopter in Flight”, “Defending an Island and Combat Shooting from a Boat”, “Stealth Approach and Target Engagement”, “Shooting from a Cold Barrel after a 5-kilometer Run with Equipment and Weapons”, “Night Shooting at Unspecified Distances”, and a “Surprise” event.

The tasks were complex, yet Uzbekistan military personnel effectively demonstrated their capabilities by swiftly neutralizing targets ahead of schedule.

After nearly ten days of intense competition among 48 teams from various foreign armies, the servicemen of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense secured a prestigious first place, winning the gold medal.

It should be noted that the team from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense participated in this competition held in Türkiye for the fourth time. The team secured second place in 2022-2023 and achieved first place in 2024-2025.

Participation in such international competitions significantly contributes to enhancing the combat readiness of our servicemen, as well as fostering the exchange of knowledge and experience.
