The delegation led by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov visited the Regional Office of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) in Baku.

The visit became a significant step towards strengthening cultural cooperation between ICESCO member states in the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Mr. Nazarbekov stressed Uzbekistan’s firm commitment to further strengthening cooperation within the organization and highly appreciated the initiatives of the Baku Office for the Development of Cultural Diplomacy.

Promising joint projects, including a regional workshop, educational programs, academic exchanges, and initiatives for the digital preservation of the common cultural heritage of the Turkic and Islamic world, were discussed at the meeting.

Following the visit, the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan wished success in the activities of the ICESCO Regional Office in Baku and left an entry in the Book of Honored Guests.
