On February 26-27 this year, a delegation of Uzbekistan analytical centres, consisting of representatives of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Institute for Central Asia, visited the capital of Norway.
As part of the visit to Oslo, meetings were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Parliament of Norway, the Norwegian Centre for Conflict Resolution, the Peace Research Institute Oslo, and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs.
Representatives of leading analytical centres of Central Asia also took part in the negotiations, including the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Institute for Strategic Initiatives under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The sides held a substantive exchange of views on key international and regional issues, focusing on contemporary challenges to global security, sustainable development, and the expansion of interregional cooperation.
Particular emphasis during the discussions was placed on the prospects for expanding cooperation between Central Asia and the Nordic countries. Priority areas identified included green energy, digital transformation, innovative technologies, education modernization, and the climate agenda – fields with high potential for practical cooperation.
