For the first time, the Uzbekistan national team members are taking part in the FIDE World Women’s Team Championship in Linares, Spain.

At the World Championship, the Uzbekistan national team will play in Group B with China, Georgia, Ukraine, France, and India.

FIDE, USA, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Spain, and Peru national teams are competing in Group A.

In the first two rounds, Uzbekistan’s players lost to Georgia and China.

On November 19, the Uzbekistan national team, consisting of Afruza Hamdamova, Gulrukhbegim Tokhirjonova, Umida Omonova, Guldona Karimova, and Madinabonu Khalilova, will play in the third round against France and in the fourth round against Ukraine.

In the fifth round of the group stage, on November 20, Uzbekistan’s chess players will face India.

The top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.

The World Championship will run until November 23.
