
Astana, Kazakhstan, hosts the 15th International Mining and Metallurgy Congress.
The anniversary conference is being attended by M. Bolibekov, Head of Department at the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and M. Isakov, Director of the State Institution “Institute of Mineral Resources”.
Representatives of the Ministry’s delegation took part in a panel session held within the framework of the conference on “International Cooperation: Meeting of Geological Services”, where they delivered a presentation on Uzbekistan’s achievements in the mining and geological sector, current projects, and prospects for international cooperation in this area.
“Such conferences serve as an essential platform for expanding scientific and research cooperation and studying and introducing innovative approaches in this field. In our presentation, we shared information on the reforms in Uzbekistan in recent years in the mining and geology sectors, modern geological research technologies, and projects implemented jointly with foreign partners. The need for further development of international cooperation in this area is becoming increasingly relevant”, noted Mr. Isakov.
According to the Ministry, an international exhibition was also held as part of the congress, where more than 40 companies from 13 countries showcased their products and technical solutions.
