The Judo Grand Prix is currently taking place in Linz, Austria, with the participation of more than 430 athletes from 52 countries.

On the tournament’s first day, two members of the Uzbekistan national team competed. Laziza Haydarova fought in the women’s 48 kg weight category, while Dilshod Baratov competed in the men’s 66 kg category.

Dilshod Baratov competed in Group C during the qualification rounds. To advance to the next stage, he first defeated a representative from Belgium, followed by the 2024 European Youth Champion, Georgian judoka Irakli Zirakashvili. Unfortunately, in the quarterfinals, he lost to Kairi Kentoku from Japan and was also defeated in the bronze medal match by Guy Gutman from Israel. 

Laziza Haydarova performed admirably in the qualifying rounds against competitors from Spain and Japan. In the round of 16, she defeated the Panamerican and Oceania Champion, Mary Dee Vargas Ley. In the bronze medal match, she overcame the reigning European champion, Amber Gersjes from the Netherlands.
