Virtual talks have been held between representatives of the State Committee for Tourism Development and the British University of Sunderland.

The event was attended by the Chief of the International Department of the Institute for Tourism Development under the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan Zarina Valiyeva, the Head for International Development Central Region of the University of Sunderland Jamie Simpson and the Transnational Education Customer Relationship and Administration Manager Angela Mason.

The Uzbek side made a presentation about the Institute for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan and the International University of Tourism in Samarkand, the system of training specialists in professional colleges of the country.

An interest was expressed in establishing cooperation with Sunderland University, organizing short-term training courses for the teaching staff of Uzbekistan universities.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached on the development of interaction and the implementation of joint educational projects.
