On January 29, Ankara hosted a trilateral meeting with the participation of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Economy, Transport of Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov, and Minister of Transport Ilhom Mahkamov attended the meeting.

Issues of expanding foreign policy, regional, trade-economic, and investment partnerships, developing a diversified transport system, and deepening communication cooperation were discussed.

The Ministers made presentations on the issues on the agenda.

The first meeting was held in Tashkent on August 2, 2022. The three fraternal countries have created a common platform for discussing projects.

Special attention was paid to the issues of customs practice in accordance with the legislation, further expansion of the use of electronic services, and the phased elimination of barriers to trade based on the principle of efficiency and mutual benefit.

Within the framework of the forum, the Head of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan also held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov. The parties discussed bilateral relations, including the possibility of expanding multifaceted cooperation and the region’s current situation.
