Members of the Uzbekistan national team, who won 3 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals and secured first place in the overall team standings at the Asian Para Taekwondo Championships held in Kuching, Malaysia, have returned home.
At Tashkent International Airport, the courageous athletes were warmly welcomed by the leadership of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan, media representatives, and family members.

It is worth noting that the competition brought together around 180 para taekwondo athletes from 22 countries across the continent. 17 athletes represented the Uzbekistan national team.

As a result of the Asian Championships, which provide crucial ranking points for the Paralympic Games, Zukhriddin Tokhirov (63 kg), Umida Mamarajabova (52 kg), and Roziya Ergasheva (65 kg) claimed gold medals. Silver medals went to Muhammadsodiq Usmonov (58 kg), Asadbek Toshtemirov (+80 kg), Qizlarkhon Isomiddinova (47 kg), and Karomat Rustamova (52 kg). Qudrat Khaydarov (63 kg), Qudratillo Sunnatov (70 kg), and Sugdiyona Normuminova (+65 kg) earned bronze, each securing a place on the winners’ podium.
