A meeting was held between the leadership of the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association and the Deputy Director General at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Ciyong Zou.

The dialogue, organized within the framework of a technical assistance project aimed at modernizing Uzbekistan’s textile industry and integrating it into the international market, focused on key outcomes and plans in this area.

The discussions addressed topics such as economic diversification, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in entering international markets, and the implementation of innovative approaches in marketing, branding, and design.

According to the Association, the dialogue also included an exchange of views on local enterprises that have expressed interest in participating in the project. It was noted that developing additional mechanisms to support these enterprises is essential for advancing their activities and enhancing their competitiveness in the international market.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen cooperation and ensure the effective organization of work within the framework of the project.
