Following the 11th meeting of the Council on Industrial Policy of the CIS Member States, held on June 4 this year in Dushanbe, in the presence of Council members, Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, awarded Ilkhom Nematov the medal “Honored Industrial Worker of the Republic of Tajikistan” for his contribution to the development of international relations in the real sector of the economy among CIS member states.

In his welcome address to the meeting participants, CIS Deputy Secretary General Ilkhom Nematov emphasized that for nearly 35 years, the Commonwealth of Independent States has continued to fulfill its vital mission of deepening good-neighborly relations and cooperation among member states in political, economic, humanitarian, and other fields, based on the principles of equal partnership and mutual benefit.

Mr. Nematov noted that the Council on Industrial Policy had prepared and submitted for consideration by the highest bodies of the CIS several vital issues concerning the development of the mining and metallurgical complex, the chemical industry, oil and gas engineering, and the use of natural gas as motor fuel.

At the Council meeting, draft versions of the Concept for the Digital Transformation of the Mining and Metallurgical Industries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and its corresponding Action Plan were approved. In addition, the Council reviewed draft versions of the Concept for the Development of Cooperation among CIS Member States in the Production of Advanced Materials for High-Tech Industries and the Action Plan for its implementation.
