Uzbekistan’s Artificial Intelligence Development Strategy 2030 was presented at the UN Headquarters in New York. The event, organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism and the International Criminal Police Organization, brought together high-profile guests, including UN leadership, experts, and diplomatic corps representatives.

The participants were presented with the key areas of the strategy and Uzbekistan’s important reforms and achievements in artificial intelligence. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed the importance of developing information technologies and introducing innovations as priority areas of state policy.

Uzbekistan plans to increase the volume of software products and services based on artificial intelligence to $ 1.5 billion, open 10 scientific laboratories, and develop a regulatory framework to support relevant technologies. Creating a computing and technical infrastructure for data processing is an important aspect of the strategy.

Following the event, agreements were reached on further cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations in artificial intelligence, which opens up new horizons for the country’s technology development.
