In recent years, international media outlets have been paying special attention to New Uzbekistan’s growing activity in foreign policy, as well as positive changes in the investment climate and the tourism sector.
In particular, the Euronews article titled “Uzbekistan targets 12 million tourists in 2026 as AI reshapes hospitality” notes that 11.7 million foreign tourists visited the country in 2025, and that the target for the current year is to increase this figure to 12 million.
The publication also emphasized that artificial intelligence technologies, digital services, and visa facilitation measures are being introduced in our country’s tourism sector. In addition, it highlighted that historic cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva are strengthening their status as international tourist destinations.
