The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Head of the Energy Policy, Green Energy Transition, and Energy Efficiency Division at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany, Urs Daniel Engels.

Issues of strengthening long-term cooperation between the two countries, ensuring environmental sustainability, introducing innovative solutions, and green initiatives were discussed at the meeting.

Prospects for cooperation in sustainable energy supply, energy efficiency improvement, intensification of decarbonization processes in the urban environment, as well as the introduction of a model of climate-neutral cities, were also considered.

Representatives of Germany highly appreciated the efforts of the Uzbek side in the green development and the introduction of renewable energy sources. At the same time, the parties expressed their willingness to actively contribute to this process and implement the practical development of existing projects.

Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to expand cooperation and enhance the exchange of views on existing and promising projects.

Uzbekistan, Germany to expand strategic cooperation in green energy
