Uzbekistan expands participation in the global insurance guarantee system
Following the first-quarter 2026 results, the IFIGS Management Committee approved the decision to include the Insurance Payment Guarantee Fund in the Information Sharing Working Group (ISWG), which operates under the International Forum of Insurance Guarantee Schemes (IFIGS).
Thus, the Fund has officially joined one of IFIGS’ specialized working platforms, whose activities aim to facilitate information exchange, prepare analytical materials, and study international experience in the field of insurance guarantees.
The inclusion of the Insurance Payment Guarantee Fund in the ISWG Working Group is a logical continuation of systematic efforts to develop international cooperation, strengthen its institutional role, and expand Uzbekistan’s participation in the global insurance guarantee system. This step confirms that Uzbekistan is not only studying foreign experience but is also becoming an active participant in the international professional community in the field of insurance guarantees.
Amid deepening international financial and economic ties, the exchange of experience between organizations that protect policyholders and the development of guarantee mechanisms in the insurance sector is becoming particularly important. In this area, the Fund is consistently developing cooperation with foreign partners, studying best practices, and strengthening professional ties with specialized institutions.
The Fund’s participation in the ISWG enables interaction with IFIGS participants on issues of information exchange, the study of international approaches to organizing guarantee and compensation mechanisms, and the analysis of the experience of foreign institutions.
This will enable the use of best practices to improve the Fund’s activities, enhance the effectiveness of compensation mechanisms, and strengthen the protection of citizens’ rights in the field of insurance.
