Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties exchanged views on the most important issues on the agenda of cooperation and the prospects for deepening large-scale partnership between the two countries.
The parties welcomed the opening of the Consulate General of Turkey in Samarkand, which is vivid evidence of the strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
The Uzbek side expressed gratitude for Turkey’s support in the implementation of socio-economic reforms in Uzbekistan, including through the introduction of Turkish experience in improving the investment climate, regional development and improving the management of special economic zones.
The dialogue also touched upon issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation. An agreement was reached on close collaboration within the framework of the organization of Uzbekistan Culture Days in Ankara and Istanbul this June.
