On October 21-23, the Uzbekistan delegation took part in one of the most prestigious annual exhibitions in the United States – the Miami World Travel Expo (WTE Miami).

The purpose is to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, attract investment and expand international cooperation in tourism.

The delegation members presented a variety of tourist routes, cultural attractions, and unique traditions in the country.

The event also included meetings with foreign partners, discussions of prospects for the development of tourism infrastructure, and an exchange of experience with the world’s leading tourism players.

The Uzbekistan delegation also participated in roundtable discussions and workshops on current trends in tourism, which will help strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the international arena.

Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shodiyev participated in the panel session “The Role of Tourism in the Economic Development of the Country”.

Industry representatives who participated in the panel session were informed about reforms in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector, new types of tourism, and the development of tourism infrastructure in remote areas.

Tour operators, representatives of catering establishments and hotels, Tashkent, Samarkand and Khorezm artisans also presented their products and advantages.
