Uzbekistan delegation takes part in the Trigger X – Europe and Central Asia International Interpol Operation
A pre-operational meeting and regional training were held in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) as part of Interpol’s international operation Trigger X – Europe and Central Asia, which aims to counter illicit trafficking in firearms and related forms of transnational crime.
The event was organized by the Interpol General Secretariat as part of the iARMS V project, with support from the European Union.
It was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies and national central bureaus of Interpol in Europe and Central Asia.

Representatives of the Interpol National Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Main Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the event.
During the meeting, the participants discussed current threats from illicit firearm trafficking, mechanisms for international cooperation, and issues in coordinating joint activities.

As part of the regional training, experts from the Interpol General Secretariat conducted practical exercises on using the iARMS system and investigating firearm-related crimes.
During the event, the Uzbekistan delegation exchanged practical experience with foreign partners and examined modern international approaches to combating illicit trafficking in firearms.
