As part of the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the People’s Republic of China, the first conference of Uzbekistan on cooperation and exchange in trade, culture, and tourism was held in the city of Urumqi, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

As previously reported, in November 2023, in the Hongguang Park of the city of Urumqi, together with the Tourism Committee and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China, the pavilion of Uzbekistan, “Registan Square”, was commissioned, occupying more than 10 thousand square meters. The first Uzbekistan conference on cooperation and exchange in trade, culture, and tourism was held there.

At the event, information was provided about the rich cultural, tourism, and investment potential of Uzbekistan and reforms implemented in the tourism sector in recent years.
