Strategic relations between Uzbekistan and China have reached a new stage, which resulted from the efforts of the heads of the two states.
This was noted at the meeting of the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva with the Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee Wang Huning.
Plans for interaction on science, education, innovation, tourism, agriculture, and ecology were discussed at the meeting.
Views were also exchanged on the joint implementation of significant trade, economic, technological, transport, energy, and industrial cooperation projects.
An agreement was reached on adopting programs aimed at continuing inter-parliamentary ties and activating the activities of friendship groups and local representative bodies.
