Uzbekistan – Belarus agro-industrial cooperation: 11 contracts signed worth 35.5 million UZS
During the Fourth Business Forum of Women Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Belarus in Khiva, new areas of cooperation in the agro-industrial sector were discussed.
The second panel session, titled “Cooperation in the agro-industrial sector: food security and biotechnology”, brought together members of both countries’ parliaments, representatives of ministries and government agencies, industry experts, members of the academic community, and entrepreneurs.
The discussions focused on the current state of agro-industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus and how to fully realize its existing potential.
Particular attention was paid to ensuring food security, introducing modern agricultural technologies and biotechnologies, strengthening phytosanitary safety, processing agricultural products, and increasing investment in the sector.
The discussions led to concrete outcomes. Following the panel session, 11 contracts totaling 35.5 million UZS were signed.
