Today, athletes from Uzbekistan earned more medals at the Junior World Weightlifting Championships in Peru.

The competition features 538 athletes from 70 countries. Representing Uzbekistan in the 59 kg weight category, Marjona Abdumutalova lifted 102 kg in the clean and jerk, winning a bronze medal. Based on her combined total of 190 kilograms, she secured a silver medal in the overall standings.

In the 81 kg category, Hikmatillo Haydarov lifted 154 kg in the snatch and claimed the bronze medal.

To date, the Uzbekistan national team has won six medals. The championships will continue through May 5.
