The UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, Felipe Paullier, visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Issues of expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations, strengthening international dialogue between youth parliaments, implementing joint projects in ecology, artificial intelligence, and digital education, as well as the importance of the UN Youth 2030 Strategy, were discussed with Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva. The parties noted that the share of young people in the country’s population exceeds 55%, so ensuring their rights and interests has become a priority area of government policy.

An agreement was reached to expand mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and the United Nations in all areas.
