Uzbekistan and the British Council discuss new areas of cooperation
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ravshan Usmanov, held a meeting with the British Council’s Deputy Director for International Operations, Siobhan Foster-Perkins, during which the parties reviewed prospects for expanding bilateral programs in the cultural and educational sphere.
According to Siobhan Foster-Perkins, the country is currently making significant progress in improving English-language instruction, modernizing school curricula, and enhancing teachers’ professional training.
Particular attention was given during the meeting to the British Council’s ongoing and prospective projects in Uzbekistan.
The parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue active engagement and expand joint educational and cultural programs to strengthen international cooperation and improve the quality of education in Uzbekistan.
