Uzbekistan and Serbia: enhancing cooperation to a new level
Aleksandar Marković, Chairman of the Serbia-Uzbekistan Interparliamentary Cooperation Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, visited the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During a meeting with Tanzila Narbayeva, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it was noted that, thanks to the open and constructive dialogue between the leaders of the two states, based on mutual trust, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia has reached a new level.
Mr. Marković highly praised the reforms underway in the country and Uzbekistan’s growing authority and influence on the international stage.

The sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the spheres of trade and economy, investment, culture and humanitarian affairs, education, and tourism, as well as on intensifying interparliamentary ties.
The parties confirmed their readiness to continue mutual support within international parliamentary organizations and expressed interest in developing cooperation through youth parliamentary diplomacy.
The guests were invited to participate in the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, to be held on September 4-6 in Samarkand.
