Uzbekistan and leading Japanese companies discuss new investment projects
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a roundtable discussion with Takeshi Hashimoto, Chairman of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), executives and representatives of leading Japanese companies. The meeting served as a forum to discuss enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
Representatives from major Japanese companies such as Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Sojitz, All Nippon Airways, Shimizu, JETRO, Sumitomo, JBIC, Toyo Engineering, Toyota Tsusho, Marubeni, Mitsui, and Mitsubishi attended the event.
The parties focused on expanding economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan, supporting Japanese companies’ activities in Uzbekistan, and implementing new investment projects.
The participants also discussed promising cooperation opportunities in energy, transport and logistics, infrastructure, agriculture, the textile industry, digitalization, and human resource development.
The event marked an important step toward strengthening business ties between Uzbekistan and Japan, laying the groundwork for new investment projects and a long-term partnership.
