On July 16-19, a delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Minister Aziz Toshpulatov, visited Hungary.
During the visit, the Uzbekistan delegation held talks with the Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary Sándor Pintér. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in key areas, including ensuring internal and digital security, combating crime and cyber threats, and training personnel.
Special attention was paid to cooperation in countering terrorism, drug trafficking, cybercrime, regulating migration processes, and protecting citizens’ rights.
The prospects for exchanging experiences, introducing advanced technologies, and implementing joint educational initiatives were discussed. The Hungarian side provided a positive assessment of the level of security provided to Uzbekistan citizens and expressed its readiness to further develop the partnership.
A roadmap for bilateral cooperation for 2025-2026 has been signed, providing for the implementation of specific projects and activities in key areas.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, Aziz Toshpulatov, invited his Hungarian counterpart to pay an official return visit to Uzbekistan.
In general, this event became a significant step towards deepening strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary in the internal security and public order.
