Uzbekistan and Germany expand cooperation in youth employment
The President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who is on an official visit to Uzbekistan, visited the joint venture Papenburg Uzbekistan in Tashkent. The distinguished guest was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, and other officials.
This enterprise, founded on advanced technologies and Germany’s national traditions in road construction, is successfully implementing infrastructure development projects.
Today, a significant number of workers and specialists employed at the enterprise are young local personnel. They have mastered advanced methods for managing modern technologies under the guidance of German engineers and are becoming representatives of a new generation of road construction professionals in the country.

The expansion of the bilateral partnership opens new prospects not only in industry and infrastructure but also in labor migration and vocational education.

During the visit, the President of Germany also became acquainted with targeted projects being implemented by the Migration Agency in collaboration with German partners. Particular attention was paid to youth employment and to improving their professional qualifications.
The President of the Federal Republic of Germany met with young people studying German and developing the professional skills needed to work in Germany. Their desire for knowledge and strong command of the German language were highly praised.
