
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Uzbekistan David Kotaria visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
Bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Georgia, including cooperation in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, were discussed during a conversation with the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investment, and Tourism, O. Mamatkarimov.
The parties expressed interest in strengthening partnerships in tourism and noted their willingness to share experiences in training specialists and organizing joint tours.
The parties also exchanged views on the upcoming 150th IPU Assembly, scheduled to take place in Tashkent from April 5 to 9. The Ambassador noted that a 14-member delegation, led by the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, will participate in the event.
The Ambassador also stressed that the efforts of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to develop the country are receiving great recognition in Georgia.
