Uzbekistan and Croatia expand mutually beneficial cooperation

Odiljon Mamatkarimov, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Science, Education and Health and Head of the Uzbekistan – Croatia Interparliamentary Cooperation Group, met with Refik Šabanović, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing relations between Uzbekistan and Croatia, strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, and expanding economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening dialogue between the two countries’ parliaments and of exchanging experience in lawmaking and parliamentary oversight.

Opportunities for joint projects in pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, agricultural processing, and tourism were also explored.
