Uzbekhydrogeology SUE is provided with modern measuring instruments
The leadership of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology met with representatives of Caritas Switzerland.
During the discussion held as part of the “Climate-Resilient Integrated Water Resources Management in the Zarafshan River Basin” project, the participants emphasized the importance of international collaboration in sustainable water resources management, groundwater protection, and the implementation of advanced methods.
Supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, this project promotes the efficient management of water resources amidst climate change. It also enhances scientific analysis of groundwater conditions in the Zarafshan River basin through advanced technologies.
During the meeting, Uzbekhydrogeology SUE received advanced measuring instruments to monitor groundwater status, automate monitoring tasks, and facilitate hydrogeological modeling.
The parties also identified the project’s priorities for 2026-2027 and agreed on a corresponding roadmap.
