The Tashkent House of Photography, together with the Uzarchive Agency, the Academy of Arts, the Committee for Family and Women, organized the 2nd republican photo exhibition “Uzbek woman – a symbol of the past, elegance, future”.

Protection of the legitimate rights and interests of women in Uzbekistan, their respect in recent years has become an integral part of state policy. As noted at the event, the role and importance of state and public organizations in this regard are invaluable.

As noted, in recent years, scientific researchers and ordinary citizens have been increasingly interested in archival data, especially photographic documents. Last year, the photo exhibition featured more than 150, and this year – over 200 photographs, and divided according to historical periods.

Clarifications were given on the original state of more than 40 photographs presented for the first time at the exhibition, the procedure for using archival documents and preparing their annotations.

As noted, the photo exhibition serves to create an atmosphere of intolerance in society towards oppression and violence against women, ensuring their rights and interests.

The exhibition will run until March 11.
