UzA photojournalist’s works showcased at an exhibition in China
The Colorful Guizhou 2026 photo exhibition was held in Guizhou province, China.
The Guizhou photo exhibition is being held for the 19th time this year. For the first time, this prestigious venue featured works by Uzbek photographers. Among the photographs displayed in exhibition halls and on the walls of village houses, buildings, and other structures in open-air spaces were works by Muqimjon Qodirov, a photojournalist at the Uzbekistan National News Agency in Fergana region.

“This is my first time participating in an international exhibition of this kind. Frankly, I am delighted and excited. The photographs feature landscapes of Fergana region and portraits of local people”, Muqimjon Qodirov said.

The exhibition in China displayed about 50 works by the Uzbek photographer. Through scenes from Fergana region, they reflect the reforms underway in New Uzbekistan and, most importantly, the positive changes in people’s lives.
The three-day international photo exhibition, held in a picturesque village in Guizhou’s mountains, also became one of the memorable events in China’s cultural life.
