Turkic countries strengthen cooperation in the judicial field
The 4th meeting of the heads of the Judicial Councils of the Organization of Turkic States took place in Samarkand on May 22.
It was attended by delegations led by the heads of the Judicial Councils of Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as by the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States.

At the beginning of the event, an address by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the meeting participants was read.

During the meeting, the main focus was on issues related to introducing unified ethical standards in the courts of Turkic states, improving the effectiveness of judicial personnel training, expanding access to justice through the digitalization of the judicial system, and intensifying international cooperation in these areas.

The participants emphasized that such forums are an important platform for developing practical cooperation among bodies of the judicial community and for strengthening friendly relations.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on the general principles of judicial ethics was signed. The document sets standards of conduct for judges, taking into account the national legal traditions of Turkic states and international standards.


It was decided to hold the 5th meeting of the heads of the Judicial Councils of the Organization of Turkic States in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
