“Tourism and Media Relations” becomes the main theme of an international conference in China
An international journalists’ conference took place in Guizhou, China, bringing together journalists from Europe and Asia, including Central Asia.
Participants from Uzbekistan noted that improving tourism infrastructure alone would not address all the challenges. They proposed providing information about travel destinations in print and digital formats for Russian-speaking audiences in Russian, an internationally recognized language, as well as in English, Chinese, and Spanish. Other proposals included replacing current translation technologies with modern simultaneous interpretation equipment, increasing promotional activities, and broadening contract-based projects with media outlets.

As part of the conference, participants also discussed strengthening cooperation between the Fergana regional branch of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan and the China News Service (CNS), which has correspondent offices in 70 countries worldwide.
