In accordance with the Presidential Resolution “On measures for the development of team sports and improvement of the talent selection system” of December 4, 2024, the task of establishing the Uzbekistan Corporate Sports Association was defined to engage business entities in sports activities and organize regular competitions among them.

Although several events aimed at fulfilling these objectives have been implemented during the past period, specific issues related to the development and popularization of corporate sports have not received sufficient attention.

This was discussed at a meeting dedicated to establishing the Uzbekistan Corporate Sports Association, attended by representatives of the public and private sectors, heads of sports organizations, and more than 200 business entities.

Based on expressed opinions and proposals, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, D. Vakhabov, was elected the Chairman of the Uzbekistan Corporate Sports Association, the Founder of AKFA Group, J. Artykhodjayev, was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Association, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of International Beverages Tashkent LLC, Sh. Ergashev became Deputy Chairman, and Sh. Sattorov was appointed Executive Director of the Association.

Participants of the meeting emphasized that the development and popularization of corporate sports, along with the regular organization of sports competitions among entrepreneurs, would facilitate the identification and selection of talented young individuals.
