The issues of further developing and strengthening friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were considered.

The intensive political dialogue and productive interdepartmental contacts, including within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission, were noted with satisfaction.

The trade turnover is growing, the Shavat-Dashoguz border zone construction is underway, energy and transport cooperation is deepening, and interregional and cultural-humanitarian exchange programs are being implemented.

The heads of state also considered current aspects of the regional agenda and a schedule of joint events.
