The President of Uzbekistan supports the development of interparliamentary cooperation with Russia

On April 7, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko.

The President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated Valentina Matvienko on her birthday, sincerely wishing her good health, happiness, well-being, and great success.

The active role of the parliaments of both countries in expanding and strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia was noted with particular satisfaction.

Meetings of the Commission on Cooperation between the upper chambers of parliaments are held annually. Effective interaction has been established within the framework of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

In conclusion, the President of Uzbekistan once again reaffirmed support for further development of close and productive cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
