
On June 9, on the eve of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with a delegation of leading U.S. companies.
The meeting was attended by the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Eric Meyer, Chairman of the Board of the American – Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, Vice President of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation Bethany Brez, as well as senior executives from corporations such as Boeing, FLS, Visa, NASDAQ, Air Products, Franklin Templeton, Morgan Stanley, Coca-Cola, and many others.


The Head of State noted with great satisfaction that the current meeting reflects the growing interest of American businesses in expanding their presence in Uzbekistan.
Special attention was given to prospects for investment and innovation partnerships, as well as the advancement of concrete projects in developing and processing critical materials, artificial intelligence and digital technologies, the modernization of transport and energy infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, and other sectors.


Executives of leading American companies expressed their gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the favorable conditions being created for productive investor engagement and shared their specific proposals and plans.
